Description by the gallery owner

"Weak Signal" is a work that explores with depth and sensitivity the theme of loneliness and alienation of the modern individual immersed in the chaos of large cities. At the center of the composition stands a figure dressed in a tuxedo, a symbol of formality and apparent control, but whose head is replaced by a television. This screen, emblazoned with the words "Weak Signal," becomes a metaphor for emotional depletion and the difficulty of real connection in a society increasingly dominated by technology and isolation.
The television, once a symbol of communication and entertainment, here represents a profound disconnection, a desperate search for a signal, a meaning, a direction, which, however, never arrives. The absence of a human face emphasizes the loss of identity and the individual's progressive estrangement from their own feelings, suffocated by the frenzy of the city.
The character sits on a beam that rises above the city below.
The surrounding landscape becomes a featureless and alienating labyrinth, devoid of warmth and space for human connection. This oppressive environment amplifies the feeling of isolation, making the character seem even smaller and more insignificant compared to the vastness of the context around him.

"DAMA" DANIELE OLDANI X MARCO TAMBURRO

Scopri l'artista

Marco Tamburro and Daniele Oldani, united by a need to express themselves through art, despite their very different stylistic approaches, have successfully combined two opposing pictorial styles with harmony and fluidity. On the one hand, Tamburro's intense and rapid brushstrokes, which explore the anxieties and disenchantment of human beings living in the metropolis; on the other, Oldani's pop imagery, rich in social irony. The fusion of Rome and Milan has given rise to artworks that fully reflect the vision of the two artists. Themes related to society, religion, and war are addressed by the two with clarity and irony. Pictorial elements that characterize such different visions have managed to form a dynamic and coherent connection.
