New York Night Stroll is an oil on canvas measuring 110×145 centimeters which, as the title tells us, tells the story of New York nightlife. The protagonists of the scene are human beings. There are those who walk around looking at the shop windows and those who stand in front of the entrance of a place probably waiting their turn or enjoying the outside. The warm colors of the lights of the buildings and the light beam of the flow of cars gives a feeling of relaxation, tranquility and carefreeness. However, as we get closer we notice that people do not interact with each other. Motionless, standing, almost as if in a queue, they are crystallized in a Hopperian suspension with which the artist wants to highlight the solitude of the human being in large metropolises. Not people, but numbers, who in automatic mode repeat the same actions endlessly.
