In Venice, traditional painting and digital art meet. Accardi's surreal pop imagery merges with Gianpiero's cheerful and carefree world. The romantic canals provide the backdrop for the creative genius of the two Campanian artists: Accardi's iconic ostriches take a ride on gondolas, while Gianpiero's friendly teddy bear hugs the Cupola della Salute.
Venice was not chosen by chance. In fact, "La Serenissima" is the place where the works resulting from the collaboration between Gianpiero and Accardi were physically presented for the first time. "Icarus Dream" is the exhibition held at Palazzo Donà delle Rose, one of the pavilions of the 2024 Venice Biennale.
This "retouched" work was produced in 25 copies, personally retouched by the two artists. The signatures were placed on the front of the painting.
