"America Psycho" is a critique of finance and capitalism.
The character, drawn from the cinematic imagery of American Psycho, embodies the archetype of the successful man: handsome, powerful, and successful. But also empty, aggressive, and alienated.
Her scream is not one of pain, but of hysterical, almost animalistic euphoria.
The play on words between "Bull Market" and Red Bull is central: the bull, symbol of finance, becomes an energy drink; economic growth is associated with artificial stimulation, hyperactivity, and addiction. The slogan "Rise With Wings" amplifies the idea of a system that promises continuous, limitless growth, but actually pushes us towards a loss of control. Finance is portrayed as a legal drug, fueling ambition, competitiveness, and narcissism, to the point of transforming the individual into a caricature of themselves. The scream here is the culmination of success, but also the point at which success becomes grotesque and disturbing.
