This year too, the Daniele Comelli Art Gallery had the honor and responsibility of creating an art installation at Alpemare, the renowned Beach Club in Forte dei Marmi, owned by the Bocelli family.

"It's Break Time" is the new artistic installation presented by the Daniele Comelli Art Gallery in collaboration with the renowned architect Alberto Bartali.
The work, the result of a collaboration between Valeria Vaccaro and Jonathan Griffith, draws inspiration from school recess—that moment of freedom and lightheartedness that every student eagerly awaits.
In the classroom imagined by the artists, paper airplanes are designed by the students, while other students devote themselves to drawing with colored pencils: small gestures that express the joy of leisure, spontaneous creativity, and play.
Precisely because of its symbolic meaning, the installation is located in a place dedicated to relaxation and well-being: the luxury beach resort "Alpemare" in Forte dei Marmi. An ideal setting to celebrate the importance of taking a break—at any age. Jonathan Griffith, with extraordinary mastery, creates his airplanes not from paper, but from hand-molded PVC. His skill lies precisely in transforming a rigid, industrial material into an object that conveys lightness, fragility, and movement, just like the paper floated in the air during a break.
Valeria Vaccaro, meanwhile, continues her exploration of matter, transforming marble, a noble and durable material, into wooden pencils. Her refined technique and attention to detail confuse the eye and our perception. The Piedmontese sculptor manages to ennoble an everyday object, like a simple pencil, transforming it into an extraordinary work of art. This is "It's Break Time." Enjoy your break!
