INCONTRO LAMPO

FLASH MEETING

The "Incontro Lampo" event, promoted by the Daniele Comelli Art Gallery, which celebrated the collaboration between Daniele Oldani and Marco Tamburro, has just concluded. The exhibition took place at the renowned Lampo, in Milan's Scalo Farini, and the industrial setting provided the perfect backdrop. The empty, dilapidated warehouse was transformed into a studio and art gallery.

In the days leading up to the event, the two artists worked in the space to create ten collaborative works, in addition to one completed live during the event. Paintbrushes, spray cans, splashes of paint on the walls, palettes of dried paint, and stained paper towels transformed the sterile space into a vibrant creative studio.

Tamburro and Oldani, despite their different stylistic approaches, have found a unique harmony. Tamburro's intense and rapid brushstrokes explore the anxieties of the metropolis, while Oldani's pop imagery brings irony and lightness. The fusion of their languages has produced works that fully reflect both their visions, uniting Rome and Milan in a coherent artistic dialogue.

The themes of society, religion, and war are addressed with clarity and irony. Different pictorial elements dynamically intertwine, giving rise to original and surprising compositions.

The studio also hosted collectors, eager to see the works and attend the live performance: the completion of a 230x190 cm canvas. Spectators were able to observe the application of the two styles in the same painting, a concrete demonstration of their collaboration.

The live work, "Urban Jungle," perfectly embodies this fusion. At its center is a contemporary Tarzan moving among urban vines, a symbol of a metropolitan jungle. The character is depicted in Oldani's comic-book style, while the urban landscape is rendered in Tamburro's iconic pictorial language. The result is a harmonious synthesis of two seemingly contrasting artistic visions.

The cold, bare walls of the warehouse were thus dressed with the paintings of DAMA (Daniele and Marco), who transformed a desolate environment into a perfect exhibition space.
