Jonathan Griffith (1979) is an Italian artist who lives and creates in Grosseto, a lovely Tuscan city. Since he was a little child, he used to help in his father’s very well-known body shop, working with paints and varnishes that grew his artistic ‘soul.
Jonathan began his career projecting aerodynamic sets for cars and, after a while, he become a ship broker. It was his best friend’s birthday that made him realize he wanted to become a committed artist. To surprise Annamaria, he made a unique and customized gift: a sparkling and very textured painting called “Soccer”.
Since that day, Jonathan’s art has never stopped. Mixing a deep love for Pop Art with his handicraft skills, he gives birth to shining sculptures using body shop’s paints and processes that collectors love.
Each piece, always enriched by luxury brands logos, is handmade and purely unique. There will never be two artworks completely alike because body-shop’s paint and material have their own life. His subjects, huge Blow Pops, hearts and expensive champagne’s carved labels are very popular among actors and celebrities.
